1. Definitions

  • "Athlete" refers to any person registering for and/or participating in an event.

  • "Client" refers to any company or individual booking Flare Events to organize an event or making use of our services.

  • "Event" refers to any race, competition, or activation organized or facilitated by Flare Events.

  • "Entry" refers to an athlete’s confirmed registration for an event.

  • "Site" refers to www.flareevents.net or any domain operated by Flare Events.

2. Event Entries

  • Entries must be completed through the official event platform or at event as facilitated by Flare Events, and all waivers must be accepted during registration.

  • Each event may have its own terms regarding entry transfers, age restrictions, and refund eligibility. Please review the specific Event Page for full details.

  • Athletes participate at their own risk and must comply with the rules of the relevant sporting regulatory body.

3. Client Bookings

  • Clients must sign a formal contract for any event organized by Flare Events. This contract will govern all payment terms, cancellation conditions, and deliverables.

4. Code of Conduct & Safety

  • All participants must act respectfully, follow all rules set by the relevant sport's governing body, and obey marshals, judges, and officials.

  • We reserve the right to remove any participant from an event due to misconduct, safety violations, or failure to comply with event rules.

5. Website Use

  • Misuse of the site is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to hacking, scraping data, or posting offensive, unlawful, or misleading content.

  • We reserve the right to suspend or block access to anyone violating these terms.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • Participation in any event is voluntary and at your own risk.

  • Flare Events is not responsible for any loss, injury, damage, or death resulting from participation in events, including delays, cancellations, or changes.

  • We are not liable for damages arising from the use or inability to use our website or services.

7. Force Majeure

  • Events may be postponed or altered due to unforeseen circumstances outside of our control (e.g. extreme weather, government restrictions).

  • Please refer to the Refund Policy for how this may affect entry or client payments.

8. Privacy & Data

  • We respect your privacy. Any personal data collected will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.

10. Changes to Terms

  • We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes indicates your acceptance of the revised terms.
