Bloemfontein’s First Bike Bus

What is a Bike Bus?
It’s a moving “bus” of cyclists — learners, parents & friends riding safely together to school. Fun, social, and a great way to promote road safety in Bloemfontein.
Route
Start: Willem Postma Primary (entrance on General Hertzog Street)

Ride out onto General Dan Pienaar Drive heading towards Brandwag.

First stop: St Andrew’s School.
From there:

Continue straight down Parfitt Avenue.

Turn towards Grey College — our second stop.
From Grey:

Follow Jock Meiring Street for a short stretch.

Final stop: Unisa Bloemfontein.
When
On 26 September, the Bike Bus will roll out at 06:30 from Willem Postma Primary School. From there we’ll head along General Dan Pienaar Drive with our first stop at St Andrew’s, before continuing down Parfitt Avenue to Grey College. The ride will finish at Eunice by around 07:30, giving everyone a fun, safe, and social start to the last school day of the term.
